Description
(Dry Alfalfa Hay)
Description :
It is a green fodder that is dried either in the sun or in hot air to reduce its moisture content to 15-20% or less to ensure that its quality does not deteriorate and that its nutritional value is preserved by reducing dry matter losses through breathing, fermentation, defoliation, oxidation and washing, and to avoid the risk of self-burning of the hay.
In general, the faster the drying speed, the more the resulting hay resembles the green fodder from which it was derived.
